We are inviting consultant staff and trainees to join our RESEARCH ABSTRACTS ORAL PRESENTATION!

 
Topics of specific interest on the advocacies of the association will be accepted.  
 
Primary investigators of selected research papers for oral presentation will avail of free registration at the convention and a certificate of recognition.
 
DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION: February 15, 2019

[MECHANICS FOR RESEARCH ABSTRACTS ORAL PRESENTATION]
 
ENTRIES
 
A.  All finished papers EXCEPT those already published in journals of national and international circulation, from 2017 onwards of consultants, fellows or residents of training hospitals can be submitted to join the research abstracts presentation. Research studies related to the following PAPA advocacies are encouraged:
1. Tobacco Control 
2. Early Literacy Promotion
3. Childhood Tuberculosis
4. Injury Prevention 
5. Parenting / Child Protection
6. Primary Health Care / Anticipatory Guidance / Community Pediatrics
 
B.  A minimum of two (2) entries can be submitted by each institution.  It may be either retrospective or prospective or a combination of both.
 
C. Applicants must submit two (2) electronic copies of their entry (see submission guidelines for detailed instructions).  The abstract should have a maximum of 350 words, typed, using Times New Roman, Font 12, single spaced and placed on a separate page.
 
D.  The papers shall be screened by the Convention Research Committee to select the papers for poster presentation during the Annual Convention.
 
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
 
A.  One electronic copy of the research paper abstract should include the title of the study, author’s name, e-mail address and mobile contact number, department, and name of hospital. This copy must be signed by the primary and supervising investigators.  (A scanned copy of the submission that includes the signature is acceptable).
 
B. One additional electronic copy of the paper must be submitted for distribution to the screening committee.  Specifications should be the same as the other electronic copy submission EXCEPT that all marks pointing to the identification of the author/s and hospital must be removed.  The presence of any identifying mark shall render the entry automatically DISQUALIFIED.
